Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Your safari begins with a pick-up in Nairobi and a scenic drive down the Great Rift Valley. The Experience: Watch the landscape shift from urban bustle to the sweeping plains of the
Maasai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. The light is perfect for photography as you seek out the “Big Five” (Lion, Leopard,
Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo) in their natural kingdom.
Maasai Mara (Full Day of Thrills)
Wake up to the roar of lions or the call of birds for a full day of exploration. The Experience: Today is about deep immersion. Pack a picnic lunch and venture deep into the reserve. Drive to the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles and potentially the Great Migration river crossings (July-Oct). Without the rush of a short trip, you can spend hours watching a cheetah hunt or a pride of lions interacting.
Maasai Mara (The Triangle & Big Cats)
Another full day allows us to explore different sectors of this vast ecosystem. The Experience: We track the elusive leopard in the acacia woodlands and search for the endangered black rhino. Enjoy the “African Massage” as we navigate the rugged terrain to find the most secluded wildlife spots. Enjoy a sunset game drive as the savannah turns gold.
Maasai Mara (Culture & Conservation)
Enjoy a flexible day in the bush. The Experience: Start with an early morning game drive when predators are most active. In the afternoon, you can opt for a visit to a traditional Maasai Village (Manyatta) to learn about their ancient culture and coexistence with wildlife (optional), or simply relax at your lodge and enjoy the views.
Maasai Mara to Nairobi After a final breakfast and perhaps one last morning game drive (time permitting), we bid farewell to the bush. The Experience: Drive back to Nairobi with a camera full of memories. We will drop you off at your hotel or JKIA airport for your onward journey.
