Venture into Hell’s Gate National Park, a dramatic 68-square-kilometer geothermal wonder in Kenya’s Rift Valley, famous for its towering cliffs, gorges, and hot springs inspired by “The Lion King.” Unlike traditional safaris, this park offers predator-free exploration with wildlife like zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes amid volcanic landscapes. Attractions include Hell’s Gate Gorge, Fischer’s Tower, and Olkaria Geysers, making it ideal for active adventurers seeking hiking and cycling in a stunning setting. The best time to visit Hell’s Gate National Park is year-round, but dry seasons from January to February and June to October provide the best weather for outdoor activities.

Itinerary

📅 DAY 1

Arrival and Gorge Hiking. Drive from Nairobi to Hell’s Gate (2 hours). Lunch at camp, then hike through Hell’s Gate Gorge, spotting rock hyrax and birds. Dinner and overnight.

📅 DAY 2

Cycling and Geothermal Tour. Morning cycling safari through the plains, viewing giraffes and zebras. Visit geysers and hot springs for a picnic lunch. Afternoon rock climbing or relaxation. Dinner at lodge.

📅 DAY 3

Wildlife and Departure. After breakfast, short drive for buffalo sightings. Lunch before returning to Nairobi, energized by this active Kenya safari.
