About The Safari

Explore the majestic Aberdare National Park, a mountainous wonder in central Kenya spanning 766 square kilometers of dense forests, moorlands, and waterfalls, offering a unique high-altitude Kenya safari. Known for its elusive wildlife like the rare bongo antelope, black rhinos, elephants, and leopards, the park’s dramatic landscapes include the stunning Karuru and Chania Falls. Perfect for nature lovers and hikers, Aberdare combines wildlife viewing with scenic beauty and cooler climates, highlighting conservation in a biodiversity hotspot. The best time to visit Aberdare National Park is during the dry season from June to September, when trails are accessible and wildlife viewing is prime.

Itinerary

📅 DAY 1

Arrival and Forest Exploration. Drive from Nairobi to Aberdare (about 3 hours). Check into your lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive through bamboo forests, spotting elephants and buffaloes. Evening viewing from the lodges floodlit waterhole. Dinner and overnight.

📅 DAY 2

Full-Day Hiking and Wildlife. Morning hike to Karuru Falls for breathtaking views and birdwatching (over 250 species). Picnic lunch, followed by a drive across moorlands for bongo and rhino sightings. Return for dinner and relaxation.

📅 DAY 3

Scenic Drives and Departure. After breakfast, explore the Salient area for leopards and hyenas. Final lunch before transferring back to Nairobi, cherishing Aberdare’s unique Kenya safari vibes.
