Itinerary

📅 DAY 1

Coast to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary Start your adventure with a pick-up from your coastal hotel (Mombasa, Diani, or Watamu). Leave the ocean breeze behind for a scenic drive inland to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. The Experience: Arrive in time for lunch and a short rest before your first afternoon game drive. Step into lush, rolling landscapes in this private conservancy. Famous for its distinctive stilt lodges and underground viewing tunnels, Taita Hills allows you to get eye-to-level with elephants, lions, and buffaloes at active waterholes without disturbing them. Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge within the sanctuary.

Taita Hills to Tsavo East National Park After breakfast, journey deeper into the wild as we head to Tsavo East National Park. The Experience: Check in and enjoy lunch before exploring the raw, rugged beauty of one of Kenya’s oldest parks. Known as the “Theatre of the Wild,” Tsavo East is famous for its legendary “Red Elephants” dust-reddened from the rich soil and the spectacular Galana River. Look out for the Big Five and the massive Yatta Plateau as the sun sets over the arid plains. Overnight: Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and relaxation.

Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park Depart after breakfast for a short drive to the neighboring Tsavo West National Park. The Experience: Immerse yourself in dramatic volcanic landscapes, a land of lava flows and natural springs. Unlike the open plains of the East, Tsavo West offers the scenic Mzima Springs where hippos and crocodiles glide through crystal-clear waters and the rugged Shetani Lava Flows. Visit the rhino sanctuary and spot diverse birdlife in the acacia woodlands during your afternoon game drive. Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park An early breakfast sets the pace for your drive to the legendary Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The Experience: Relax briefly before heading out for an evening game drive. Witness the iconic image of Africa as massive herds of elephants roam against the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is the best place in the world to get close to free-ranging elephants and capture
that perfect safari photo. Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge.

Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park An early breakfast sets the pace for your drive to the legendary Amboseli Amboseli National Park (Full Day) Wake up to views of the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) and enjoy a full day of exploration. The Experience: Spend the day traversing the swamps and dry lake beds of Amboseli. Whether you are tracking the Big Five or soaking in the panoramic views from Observation Hill, this park
delivers an awe-inspiring connection to nature’s giants. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your adventure. Overnight: Return to your camp/lodge for dinner.

Amboseli to Lake Elementaita After breakfast, enjoy a final glimpse of Kilimanjaro before we drive to the Great Rift Valley to Lake Elementaita. The Experience: Unwind at this serene soda lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its flamingo flocks and over 450 bird species. Unlike the busier parks, Elementaita offers a peaceful safari experience with hot springs and scenic views that blend relaxation with nature. Arrive for lunch and spend the afternoon soaking in the tranquility or taking a lakeside walk to spot giraffes and zebras against the shimmering water. Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at your lakeside lodge/camp.

Lake Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park We take a short, scenic drive this morning to the enchanting Lake Nakuru National Park. The Experience: Discover a compact yet vibrant park that is a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers. Once home to massive flamingo flocks that paint the shores pink, this park is now a sanctuary for endangered rhinos and Rothschild’s giraffes. Enjoy an afternoon game drive
through acacia woodlands and cliffs, spotting lions and leopards in this unique Rift Valley landscape. Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge overlooking the lake.

Maasai Mara National Reserve (Full Day) Wake up in the heart of the wild for a full day of exploration in this premier destination. The Experience: Start early to catch predators on the hunt and herds grazing. If visiting during the season (July-October), focus on the spectacular Great Migration, witnessing wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue your drive spotting cheetahs, giraffes, and hippos. Whether you are a photographer or a nature lover, the Mara’s open plains provide endless excitement. Overnight: Return to camp for dinner and relaxation.

The Experience: Enjoy the scenic drive back to the capital, reflecting on ten days of “Beach to Bush” magic. We will drop you off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of an authentic African experience.
